Overview of AUBE Preserved Flower Course

 

 

Hanamizuki Florist is now a certified AUBE Preserved Academy (日本保鮮花協會海外指定教室) located in Greater Toronto Area, Canada. Students can complete their courses, take exams, and receive certificates issued by Japan, directly through the Hanamizuki Florist Preserved Academy. Japan AUBE Preserved Academies are well established across Asia, but rare in North America – we are proud of to be one of the very few Preserved Academy in Canada.

Hanamizuki Florist offers the AUBE Diploma and Instructor Course. For the Diploma Course, it consists of 3 levels -- Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Levels. After completing 3 levels and an examination, students can obtain the Diploma Certificate. After that, students are eligible to become official members of the association. Members enjoy exclusive discounts of up to 50% on AUBE flower materials, containers, and more.


Upon completing the Diploma Course, students can further their studies through the Instructor Course. Graduates may apply to become certified overseas instructors and are eligible to teach AUBE certificate programs.

AUBE Preserved International Co., Ltd. (known as Japan AUBE Preserved Flower Association)  was established in 2007 with the mission of promoting preserved flower education and training professional floral designers. Headquartered in Nagoya, Japan, the association has certified classrooms not only across Japan but also in countries such as United States, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia.

Upon passing the exam, we will assist students in applying for a certificate from the Japan AUBE Preserved International Co. Ltd. The fee is JPY 11,000 (approx. CAD 102) will be paid by the student directly to the AUBE Association.

After completing the Diploma Course, students may advance to the Instructor Course, which includes three professional-level designs—one of which is a Cascade Bouquet. More details will be shared soon.

Upon completing both the Diploma and Instructor Courses, you will be eligible to apply as an overseas certified Preserved Flower Academy, allowing you to teach AUBE Diploma courses and build your own professional floral career.

1. When does the AUBE Diploma course begin?

Enrollment is now open! The course can start in August 2025.

 

2. What are the class dates and times? Can they be arranged flexibly?
Yes. We offer flexible scheduling for students. The schedule are coordinated between the student and instructor.

3. How long does making the products last for?
-Beginner & Intermediate level: around 2-4 hours per product
-Advanced level: around 4 – 6 hours per product

Time varies depending on different students.

4. Is there a time limit to complete the full course?
Yes, the entire course must be completed within one year, but we recommend students to take at least 1–2 lessons per month to avoid losing touch with their floral techniques.

5. Can I choose my own flower colors for each product?
Yes, after learning basic color theory in the first session, you will choose your own color palette for each product. All pieces can be taken home.

6.  I have never worked with preserved flowers but I am really interested in the AUBE Diploma course. How can I know if It is suitable for me?
You can start with the Beginner Level, where you'll experience creating 4 basic floral pieces and get a feel for the techniques and style. However, the full-course fee is lower than paying for each level separately. 

7.  What is the class size?

To ensure intensive learning for each student, we use a small-class teaching model. Maximum 4 or less students per class.

8. Where is the class located?
The class will be held in Richmond Hill or Markham, the address and parking information will be provided before the course.
